At Clean Energy Capital, we believe that diverse voices drive innovation and success. Today, we’re celebrating the incredible women in our team and the broader industry who consistently inspire change.
In traditionally male-dominated fields, women often face an imbalance in representation. Despite this, their expertise, passion, and dedication are critical to driving progress, equality, and inclusivity. We are proud to champion the talented women who contribute to our vibrant company culture and ambitious business goals. Their tenacity and talent are helping shape the future of clean energy, delivering real impact every day.
To mark this International Women’s Day, we’ve interviewed four fantastic women from our team to gain insights into their experiences in the sector, learn who inspires them, and hear their key advice for women starting their careers in this dynamic industry.

Name a woman who inspires you:
“My inspiration is Marie Curie – a scientist who conducted pioneering research on radioactivity. She was the first woman to win a Noble Prize, I think that is incredibly admirable especially as she was born in a time where women couldn't get an education”.
Claudia Mayne Cusell - Finance Analyst
“One of my biggest inspirations is Greta Thunberg - a Swedish environmentalist who has spent a lot of time challenging world-leaders to take action to mitigate the effects of climate change. She is extremely driven and passionate, even though she has had quite a lot of criticism, I think, mostly due to how young she is."
Carla Innocenti - Executive Operations Manager
What is it like being a woman in our industry?
“Working in our industry isn't just about having the right technical experience, but it's about innovation and problem-solving and big picture thinking. I think women, particularly in this industry, bring a fresh perspective which challenges the way things have always been done and that's really important as we move towards a more sustainable future”.
Beth Eke: Land Analyst
What is the importance of mentorship in the workplace?
“To me it is very important, it’s about breaking down the barriers and building confidence. It's also not just about practical guidance, but providing an inspirational pathway. For me, it's really important for women to feel supported and valued”.
Amy Young - Director: Data Centres
